It is days like these when I feel compelled to do something more.
Today’s more is related to 1 more mass shooting where 21 more humans are dead.

I am heartbroken over the lost lives, the children, the adults, the witnesses, the families and the community of Uvalde, and all the lives that will never be the same.

I am heartbroken for our country whose grief is compounded by another massacre.

I am also disappointed.
In myself, as an American, and in the leadership of our country, both past and present.

Let me be clear, I don’t think this is a political issue.
This is a human issue.
Similar to the human issues on which our country was established.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

As an American citizen, a mother, a leader, and a coach I am committing myself to do more and be more accountable in my effort to make more impact on the issues that directly impact gun violence.
